Peaceful Protest in January 2007!
Who holds the key to Peace? Will this war ever go away? What caused this war? Why did Bush lie about Weapons of Mass Destruction? What is up with Bush wanting to control everyone and their freedoms? Who are the truth seekers? Why does the richiest country in the world not have universal health care for the millions of people that can not go see a doctor? Why in 2007 are gays and lesbians still discriminated against? What really happened on 9/11? Why aren't the volunteers from 9/11 being treated for their illnesses? Why does Bush want to attack Iran? What did they do? Who are the terrorists and where are they? Why does Bush want a wall around the borders of Mexico? Isn't this the land of opportunity? What's going on? I think Marvin Gaye best said it in his song "What's Going On?" ...War is not the answer...only Love can conquer Hate...
There are so many questions and not enough answers and people are getting fed up. People are tired of the lies that Bush and his croonies are spreading around the world and many people from different parts of the world are getting tired of this. Most people are concerned about the future and what is going to happen and many people I have spoken to think Bush is going to try and remain President by getting us into another war! It's time to speak how you feel, whether or not you you want to or not! Our freedoms are being taken away slowly, but it's happening right now! Eventually it's going to get to the point that if we say anything about Bush or the war, we will be silenced. Rupert Murdoch practically owns the media and controls most of what we see and hear. Look what happened to The Dixie Chicks, Madonna, Charlie Sheen, and Rosie O'Donnell just to name a few! They just spoke how they felt. They didn't threaten the President or America, they just spoke up about how they feel and it's their right as an American.
Then you have people like Bill O'Reilly who criticize people who speak out against the war and Bush. He calls them Un-American! Well I don't support the war or Bush, and I am very patriotic. I have friends and family over seas in a bloody war and I love them dearly. Just because we don't want war or like our leader doesn't mean we are monsters! Jesus Christ would not approve of this and would be very upset if he were here. Jesus would want us to find peace and a solution to the world's problems by not using violence and by using our brains! When you have a problem with someone you don't kill them do you? Most people sit down and talk about their problems right? But then again some people want to fight, and apparently that's what kind of leader we have. It's very sad to see that a man who has had a silver spoon in his mouth all his life become President! Bush has never once had to go hungry, never once had to go without health care, and never had to be in the line of fire! Bush is not a minority so he doesn't know what it is like to be a Mexican, Gay, Black or a Woman. But, he claims to be a Christian? Most Christians I know are loving, warm, welcoming people and do not support violence.
How many innocent men, women and children have been killed by war? The answer is too many and for what? I truly believe Bush wants to control the middle east for his own personal profit. After all, the Bush's are one of the world's most wealthiest families! Many people think Al Gore won the election back in 2000, and he probably did. One state held the key, the state of Florida. Baby Bush's brother, Jeb, happened to be the Governor of the state. Hmmmmm, makes you wonder!
I just watched the film 'Sicko' and 'Farenheit 9/11' by Michael Moore and thank God for people like him. We have people that seek truth and want a better world! What's so wrong with trying to help out everyone? What's so wrong with universal Health Care? I tell you what, if you ever get cancer you will be wanting it if you don't have insurance! It really bothers me that the HMO's deny people their health insurance and their medicine and that elderly people have to choose between their food and their groceries! That is bullshit and it should not be like that! I wouldn't mind paying extra taxes for basic health care. Because then I would know every single American had it! Didn't Christ say "Love thy neighbour as you would yourself"? Well in this country we all our neighbours and we should want to help everyone out. We shouldn't have to this only in a catastrophe, but we should be doing this all the time! But, Nixon's plan was foul from the beginning, he was only in it for the money!!
So what's going to happen before January 20, 2009? I know many people that want Bush impeached and tried for war crimes. Will that happen? Probably not, he is way too powerful and it is unfortunate that we still have another year and a half of this lunacy! I think if you want a better tomorrow then we have to start today. I have written the Senators, the Presidential Candiates, Congress, the newspapers. We have to start working together to get the problem solved in a peaceful way. Some of my closest friends that are Republicans want Bush out! One of my friends told me that he is going to D.C. to speak in a few weeks about impeaching Bush and Cheney! He is fed up and says Bush has gave Republicans a bad name. The only thing that still surprises me is that people still think he is a Godsend. I don't care who the President were, a Democrat or Republican, and if he or she acted like Bush did I would not support them no matter which party I belonged to!
I think everyone deserves rights, and thank God for people like Jesse Jackson, Harry Belafonte, Rosie O'Donnell, Cindy Sheehan, Madonna, The Dixie Chicks, Elizabeth Montgomery, Michael Moore, etc... All these people have spoken out against various things: War, Civil Rights, Gay Rights, Women's Rights, Basic Health Care, etc...
If it weren't for these people, we may not have some of the basic freedoms we have today! Which brings me back to the beginning again, our freedoms are being violated! I don't see why people will be arrested for a War Protest as long as it is peaceful and there is no violence and most people who want peace are non-violent! I know two of my Sociology Profesors believe things are going to get worse before they get better, and I do believe that. I think the Patriot Act has done more harm than good and I think it's another way of Bush controlling his sheep. The listening in on phone conversations is one of the biggest violations of the 1st Amendment and when you use fear people will do just about anything you want!
In case you don't know much about the Amendments here is what the 1st Amendment practically says to our citizens!
The First Amendment was ratified on December 15, 1791. The Amendment states:
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
So what if the press, the churches, and the Government is all ran by the same people? People who do not want to help each other, people who are greedy, people who want war and will use anything to get what they want, people who are power hungry, etc...
Basically that is what is happening now, Murdoch owns most of the media and controls what we see, hear and read and doesn't want the U.S. citizens to know what is going on in the country! Well I for one, am just fed up and I hope Bush and Cheney and the whole crew get impeached, if not one day they will be held accountable and the Higher Power will see to it they get their just rewards!

Why I am fed up with Bush and his cohorts!
Freedom of Speech, many of us have always thought we had this, but here lately it seems Government is taking over and arresting people for saying things against Bush!! Times are a changing and not for the better... This decade has went from GREAT 2000 to BLAH 2002 to HORRIBLE 2007 and God only knows what the last 2 years will hold if and when Baby Bush gets out of office!! I don't see him going quitely though...I predict another depression or deep recession, Bush will attack Iran in 2008 and finally I feel Bush will want to declare the Marshall Law or Act and remain President... God forbid, this happen, but we as Americans must do something! IF you dislike Bush as much as I do, then write your senators, protest the war, March to DC... state how you feel, because they can not silence us!! Just because we speak about how we feel doesn't make us Un-American! That's why our founding fathers had the first ammendment that guarantees freedom of Speech!!
Candy Perfume Girl! Happy Birthday
Happy 49th Birthday to Madonna Veronica Louise Ciccone Ritchie.... Madonna is no doubt one of the biggest entertainers of the late 20th century/early 21st century and on Aug. 16th 1958 Ms. Madonna was born...
Throughout the years, she has captured our hearts, our minds and our souls! Even if you dislike her, you probably at least have one or two songs that you simply like!!
Even with Mrs. Ritchie's movies, everybody (well most) have one that they like!! I think mine has to be "The Next Best Thing"... and the soundtrack was awesome!!
Madonna has done 7 tours, 6 have been World Tours, and rumour has it next summer she plans on doing another huge world tour including touring China, Australia and parts of Africa and the Middle East!!
Madonna is an actress, singer, designer, director, author, model, producer, writer, mother, sister, wife and pretty much has done it all!! Now she is experimenting in Directing!! Her first film "Filth and Wisdom" hits the Cannes Film Festival in February 2008!!
Now who could forget the "SEX" book that rocked the world and her 6th Studio Record "Erotica" in October 1992!! See photos above!! WOW
Some of her biggest selling records were: "Like a Virgin" 1984, "Like a Prayer" 1989, "The Immaculate Collection" 1990, "Ray of Light" 1998 and her 2005 smash record "Confessions on a Dance Floor". One thing Madonna knows is how to re-invent herself and change her style, which has made her one of the world's most known women of all time!!
Overall, Madonna has sold millions of records, had successful tours, sold numerous childrens books and one Xrated book called "SEX", started her own record company MAVERICK, designed her own clothes, acted in great movies and not so great, done numerous commericials and videos... So yeah, she has acheived her dream she once stated on MTV "I want to conquer the world"... I think she has!! Happy Birthday Mrs. Madonna!!
PS...Her new record comes out either later this year or in early January 2008!! Rumour has it, that it has a new sound since she is working w/ Justin Timberlake and Timbaland!! Madonna has been making music since 1979 when she started in a band called "The Breakfast Club", and I don't think she plans on leaving anytime soon!!

And the winner is? A Rose for Rosie
Hello everyone, I have decided to call on the name of Peace!! It's time we as the World stand up and declare a better place for ourselves, our families, friends and just everyone! Today I was going through some celebrities blogs and found Rosie O'Donnell's blog is all about Peace, wanting the war to end, and get Baby Bush out of office!! She is this month's winner of the Piece-of-Peace Award! I was looking through Rosie's site and found all kinds of goodies on there, and there is a link to her site at the bottom of my blog if you would like to check out her site! I just don't get why everyone is up and arms with her about her views... they are just that, views! Everyone sees the world differently, fortunately, Rosie is a Peace seeker and she seeks the truth! I think that the world is a much better place because we have people like Rosie, because if we didn't people would be silenced and not allowed to speak their thoughts! I feel we must take a stand and say what we feel whether it is something people want to hear or not because if we don't say it then it stays buried in our hearts!
Every morning when I watch the news, I fear that Bush is going to go after Iran next! What did they do? What did Iraq do? Why are we even there? Many think Bush is the problem and needs to go! There are just so many questions that need answers and I am tired of hearing people get slandered for standing up against what they believe! War is wrong and if Jesus Christ, Buddha, or Muhammad were here today they would be all over Baby Bush's arse... Innocent people are dying every day and it's time for a change! When someone breaks into your home, what do you do? You feel invaded right? That's how the world sees America, as invaders.... and We need to let the world know that we are all not like that! I would say most of us are not Warheads(Great song by the band Extreme too)!! But when it comes to people like Rosie, Madonna, or the Dixie Chics... "OH NO, they are UN-PATRIOTIC"... Complete bullshit!! Bill O'Reilly needs a dose of reality.
So anyways, I am saying my winner for this month is Rosie O. Do anything you can, buy a peace T shirt, write the troops who we all love and support! You can also write your senators to impeach Bush and Cheney. Take care and Peace! xo

Time For A Change!! HILLARY 2008
Dear Mrs. Clinton,
I am writing to you because I think you are the best choice for the 2008 Presidential Election. I think and I know America is ready for a change. The last 6 years have been very troubling for me as a struggling 33 year old college graduate with 2 degrees. First, I can not find employment (at least w/ my degrees) and feel that the economy today is 10 times worse then when you and your husband were in office. As I recall, the 1990's was a time of peace and prosperity here in America, and I trust that you can bring that back in the second decade of the 21st century! I know you can serve two terms just like your husband did and I look forward to the day when we can say Mrs. President Clinton!! Secondly, I feel the Bush Administration is using fear to scare the American people to hold onto them as long as he can and using the Evangelical Christians to support him. This is 2007, not 1907 and it's time women and men, gay and straight, young and old were all treated equal! I know you can do the job and I trust you to do that. Third, I lost my health insurance back in January. I only had it for a year, but lost my job due to chronic fatigue which the doctors diagnosed me with Fibromyalgia. Upon losing my job, I lost my insurance, which I think every American regardless of race, sexuality, or sex should be entitled to Basic Health Care! I just watched the film "Sicko" by Mr. Michael Moore, and it's staggering to think what the Bush Administration has done to the 9/11 workers and how someone has to choose between which finger to save. Also my domestic partner had cancer and has to meet almost a $4,000 spendown every 6 months to get his medical card back and a trip to the E.R. costs roughly $1,000. I mean, it's ridiculous someone has to pay that amount just for basic health care. That's why I believe in you Mrs. Clinton, I know you are right for this country and I trust you will do your best to get every man, woman and child in this nation basic health care. And finally, the war, I know this is tough on every American, but we have got to stop this war and put this all behind us. That's another reason, I am afraid Bush is going to do whatever he can to hold onto his power and try and stay in office for a third term if he attacks Iran. Please, Mrs. Clinton, help us get Bush out of office and we want to see you there. I know it's going to take probably several years to clean up his mess, but I am confident that you can do it!!
Did you know you have support in Australia? My friend Louise says she wishes that you were there instead of John Howard! So here's looking to a brighter future! Hillary 2008!! May you win the election, and the Hearts of everyone in this Nation!!
Your Supporter,
Sincerley,
Mr. Mike Penn

Draft?
WASHINGTON (AP) - Frequent tours for U.S. forces in Iraq and Afghanistan have stressed the all-volunteer force and made it worth considering a return to a military draft, President Bush’s new war adviser said Friday.
“I think it makes sense to certainly consider it,” Army Lt. Gen. Douglas Lute said in an interview with National Public Radio’s “All Things Considered.”
“And I can tell you, this has always been an option on the table. But ultimately, this is a policy matter between meeting the demands for the nation’s security by one means or another,” Lute added in his first interview since he was confirmed by the Senate in June.
President Nixon abolished the draft in 1973. Restoring it, Lute said, would be a “major policy shift” and Bush has made it clear that he doesn’t think it’s necessary.
I found this on www.rosie.com so I think it's time America comes together and kicks Bush and Cheney out on their arses!!

10 Reasons to Impeach Bush And Cheney!!
Ten Reasons to Impeach George Bush and Dick Cheney
I ask Congress to impeach President Bush and Vice President Cheney for the following reasons:
1. Violating the United Nations Charter by launching an illegal "War of Aggression" against Iraq without cause, using fraud to sell the war to Congress and the public, misusing government funds to begin bombing without Congressional authorization, and subjecting our military personnel to unnecessary harm, debilitating injuries, and deaths.
2. Violating U.S. and international law by authorizing the torture of thousands of captives, resulting in dozens of deaths, and keeping prisoners hidden from the International Committee of the Red Cross.
3. Violating the Constitution by arbitrarily detaining Americans, legal residents, and non-Americans, without due process, without charge, and without access to counsel.
4. Violating the Geneva Conventions by targeting civilians, journalists, hospitals, and ambulances, and using illegal weapons, including white phosphorous, depleted uranium, and a new type of napalm.
5. Violating U.S. law and the Constitution through widespread wiretapping of the phone calls and emails of Americans without a warrant.
6. Violating the Constitution by using "signing statements" to defy hundreds of laws passed by Congress.
7. Violating U.S. and state law by obstructing honest elections in 2000, 2002, 2004, and 2006.
8. Violating U.S. law by using paid propaganda and disinformation, selectively and misleadingly leaking classified information, and exposing the identity of a covert CIA operative working on sensitive WMD proliferation for political retribution.
9. Subverting the Constitution and abusing Presidential power by asserting a "Unitary Executive Theory" giving unlimited powers to the President, by obstructing efforts by Congress and the Courts to review and restrict Presidential actions, and by promoting and signing legislation negating the Bill of Rights and the Writ of Habeas Corpus.
10. Gross negligence in failing to assist New Orleans residents after Hurricane Katrina, in ignoring urgent warnings of an Al Qaeda attack prior to Sept. 11, 2001, and in increasing air pollution causing global warming.

Why I want to visit Antarctica!
Not many people get to know the real me, but the few that do, know that I love the absolute cold weather!! Expect maybe in cases 50 below Zero!! This summer has been extremely rough on me cause you can always put on extra clothes, but you can only take off so many...LOL
Antarctica, is my absolute favourite continent to study... I would love to go their and do research and explore the mountains, the ice caps, the animals, etc...
Antarctica is also one of the driest places on earth...many people think that it snows there constantly and they get plenty of precipitation, but in fact Antarctica could be and I believe it is classified as a desert!!... Once again thanx to www.wikipedia.org here is some information about my favourite Continent!!
Antarctica is Earth's southernmost continent, overlying the South Pole. Situated in the southern hemisphere and largely south of the Antarctic Circle, Antarctica is surrounded by the Southern Ocean. At 14.4 million km², it is the fifth-largest continent in area after Asia, Africa, North America, and South America; in turn, Europe and Australia are smaller. Some 98% of Antarctica is covered by ice, which averages at least 1.6 kilometers (1.0 mi) in thickness.
On average, Antarctica is the coldest, driest and windiest continent, and has the highest average elevation of all the continents.[1] Since there is little precipitation, except at the coasts, the interior of the continent is technically the largest desert in the world. There are no permanent human residents and there is no evidence of any existing or pre-historic indigenous population. Only cold-adapted plants and animals survive there, including penguins, fur seals, mosses, lichen, and many types of algae.
The name Antarctica comes from the Greek antarktikos (ανταρκτικός), meaning "opposite to the Arctic."[2] Although myths and speculation about a Terra Australis ("Southern Land") date back to antiquity, the first confirmed sighting of the continent is commonly accepted to have occurred in 1820 by the Russian expedition of Mikhail Lazarev and Fabian Gottlieb von Bellingshausen. However, the continent remained largely neglected for the rest of the 19th century because of its hostile environment, lack of resources, and isolation.
The Antarctic Treaty was signed in 1959 by twelve countries; to date, forty-five countries have signed the treaty. The treaty prohibits military activities and mineral mining, supports scientific research, and protects the continent's ecozone. Ongoing experiments are conducted by more than 4,000 scientists of many nationalities and with different research interests.
Antarctica is the coldest place on Earth. It is a frozen desert with little precipitation; the South Pole itself receives less than 10 cm (4 inches) per year, on average. Temperatures reach a minimum of between -80 °C and -90 °C (-112 °F and -130 °F) in the interior in winter and reach a maximum of between +5 °C and +15 °C (41 °F and 59 °F) near the coast in summer. Sunburn is often a health issue as the snow surface reflects almost all of the ultraviolet light falling on it.[23] Eastern Antarctica is colder than its western counterpart because of its higher elevation. Weather fronts rarely penetrate far into the continent, leaving the center cold and dry. Despite the lack of precipitation over the central portion of the continent, ice there lasts for extended time periods. Heavy snowfalls are not uncommon on the coastal portion of the continent, where snowfalls of up to 1.22 meters (48 inches) in 48 hours have been recorded.
Mountain glaciation.
Mountain glaciation.
At the edge of the continent, strong katabatic winds off the polar plateau often blow at storm force. In the interior, however, wind speeds are typically moderate. During summer, more solar radiation reaches the surface during clear days at the South Pole than at the equator because of the 24 hours of sunlight each day at the Pole.[3]
Antarctica is colder than the Arctic for two reasons. First, much of the continent is more than 3 km above sea level, and temperature decreases with elevation. Second, the Arctic Ocean covers the north polar zone: the ocean's relative warmth is transferred through the icepack and prevents temperatures in the Arctic regions from reaching the extremes typical of the land surface of Antarctica.
Given the latitude, long periods of constant darkness or constant sunlight create climates unfamiliar to human beings in much of the rest of the world. The aurora australis, commonly known as the southern lights, is a glow observed in the night sky near the South Pole. Another unique spectacle is diamond dust, a ground-level cloud composed of tiny ice crystals. It generally forms under otherwise clear or nearly clear skies, so people sometimes also refer to it as clear-sky precipitation. A sun dog, a frequent atmospheric optical phenomenon, is a bright "spot" beside the true sun.
Over the next few months I will bring some more information about Antarctica!! Thanx again to www.wikipedia.org

Divine
One of my favourite actresses was none other than Divine AKA Harris Glenn Milstead... He was born in Oct. 1945 and grew up with John Waters the famous Baltimore Director!! I don't know what it is about her, but Divine is just one of these people, like Greta Garbo, Bette Davis and Liz Taylor.. a face and pure beauty that you never ever forget....It's just sad that she passed away at such a young age. Death is something that most people are afraid of and I really think Divine had made Heaven spectacular and I am sure she has shown God or whomever the Higher Power is how to do her nails, toe nails, etc... One thing I can say about Divine is when I discovered her during the movie "Polyester" I feel head over heels with her, and I had to learn more and more about her... I saw Pink Flamingos for the first time in Jan. 2000, when I was home with the flu from work.. So Divine maybe dead to the phyical world, but she will always live forever in our hearts, in our minds, in our tv screens, and on our cd players!! We love You...In Memory of Divine 1945-1988!!
Stars Gone way before their time!
Hi everyone, as you know I love old Hollywood Movies... The movies of this decade the 2000's just completly bite!! I love the movies from the 30's-70's, however, there are good movies from the 80', 90's, and 00's, but God, I hope the 2010's remember to call this period the Twenty Teens, not Two Thousand Ten... Twenty Ten, Twenty Eleven and so forth or I'm gonna spank ya... lol... anyways, here are some pics of some of my favourite celebrities that have gone way before their time and they are angels now watching down on us!!
1. Divine is in the first photo... he was born in 1945 and passed from this earth in 1988...
2. Elizabeth Montgomery was one of a kind... she will live in our hearts forever... 1933-1995
3. River Phoneix--- 1970-1993 a great actor
4. Anna Nicole --- God Bless You --- 1967-2007 People didn't get to know the real you... but I know you were a great gal!! Moooch!! xo
5. James Dean --- 1931-1955 James Dean brough sexy to the 1950s... He was truly a great actor
6. M. Monroe--- 1926-1962... No Matter what they say, I don't think she killed herself.... whether it was accidental or intentional she didn't do it!! Love ya baby
7. Montgomery Clift 1920- 1966 another great actor that brought sexy back
Sometimes, some of the most talented people leave this earth at a young age... but I don't believe in Heaven or Hell so I know these souls are either re-incarnted into better beings or are watching down on us from the Stars!! XO
