2007: The Year in Madonna

Well this certainly has been an interesting year for all Madonna fans... Madonna has done quite a lot this year... Back in January she released her CD/DVD "Confessions Tour Live" and then the movie "Arthur and the Invisibles" came out that month too!!

Madonna Confessions Tour DVD

In March she signed on with H&M and done her own clothing designs, which made her more popular throughout the world.

bigger

In April, Madonna flew to Malawai to help build an orphange, and let David revisit his father... She also filmed the Documentary which will come out in 2008 called "I am Because We Are".

Later in the Spring, Madonna released her first single of 2007, called "Hey You", which was a charity single for Live Earth. She performed it at Live Earth on July 7th 2007 and sang three songs including the hit single "Hey You". This concert was to benefit Global Warming which is not a hoax contrary to what some believe! AKA George W. Bush! Like Madonna says, "Go To Texas and BLEEP"!

Also in 2007, Madonna was busy recording her new studio record... This time she teams up with Timbaland, Justin Timberlake, and Pharrell Williams... The record is scheduled for release in 2008!! A few songs did leak on the net which were "Candy Shop" and "The Beat Goes On" and the later song climbed the charts in some countries...

Madonna also directed her first film titled "Filth and Wisdom", which will come out later in 2008. Madonna is new a certified director!! Congratulations my Queen!!

Probably the biggest news of 2007 for Madonna, is that she did not renew her contract with Warner Bros. She has been with them since 1982. Instead, Madonna signed a 10 year deal with Artist Nation or Live Nation which in the next 10 years she will record 3 more studio albums, a compilation album and will do 4 tours for them among other things...

Madonna also released 4 books during 2007:

The English Roses - 01 Friends For Life!

The English Roses - 02 Good-Bye Grace?

The English Roses - 03 The New Girl

The English Roses - 04 A Rose by Any Other Name
- September 2007

She also flew to Israel in September 2007 for the Jewish Holiday Yom Kippur, with Rosie, Demi and a few friends and promised to include a song about peace on her new record.

She also is on the 2007 single for Annie Lennox called "Sing", so yes Madonna did have some singles this year! Very exciting!!

On December 13, 2007, it was announced that Madonna would be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2008. So again Congratulations my Queen!!

Finally here is to 2008, another Madonna calendar we fans can not do without!! Long Reign Madonna!!

Candy Perfume Girl! Happy Birthday

Happy 49th Birthday to Madonna Veronica Louise Ciccone Ritchie.... Madonna is no doubt one of the biggest entertainers of the late 20th century/early 21st century and on Aug. 16th 1958 Ms. Madonna was born...

Throughout the years, she has captured our hearts, our minds and our souls! Even if you dislike her, you probably at least have one or two songs that you simply like!!

Even with Mrs. Ritchie's movies, everybody (well most) have one that they like!! I think mine has to be "The Next Best Thing"... and the soundtrack was awesome!!

Madonna has done 7 tours, 6 have been World Tours, and rumour has it next summer she plans on doing another huge world tour including touring China, Australia and parts of Africa and the Middle East!!

Madonna is an actress, singer, designer, director, author, model, producer, writer, mother, sister, wife and pretty much has done it all!! Now she is experimenting in Directing!! Her first film "Filth and Wisdom" hits the Cannes Film Festival in February 2008!!

Now who could forget the "SEX" book that rocked the world and her 6th Studio Record "Erotica" in October 1992!! See photos above!! WOW

Some of her biggest selling records were: "Like a Virgin" 1984, "Like a Prayer" 1989, "The Immaculate Collection" 1990, "Ray of Light" 1998 and her 2005 smash record "Confessions on a Dance Floor". One thing Madonna knows is how to re-invent herself and change her style, which has made her one of the world's most known women of all time!!

Overall, Madonna has sold millions of records, had successful tours, sold numerous childrens books and one Xrated book called "SEX", started her own record company MAVERICK, designed her own clothes, acted in great movies and not so great, done numerous commericials and videos... So yeah, she has acheived her dream she once stated on MTV "I want to conquer the world"... I think she has!! Happy Birthday Mrs. Madonna!!

PS...Her new record comes out either later this year or in early January 2008!! Rumour has it, that it has a new sound since she is working w/ Justin Timberlake and Timbaland!! Madonna has been making music since 1979 when she started in a band called "The Breakfast Club", and I don't think she plans on leaving anytime soon!!

My Latest Poll Thanks Louise

Hi Bloggers, I created a Poll today, just curious as to see who people would vote for in 2008, whether you are Republican, Democrat or Independent, I thought it would be fun to just to add a poll and put some choices on there...I would like to thank my friend Louise, who lives in Melbourne, Australia!! She is an amazing person and I am so thankful that I met her!! She is a very bright, intelligent, and a sweet young woman!! Thank you Louise for always giving me support when I am down!! When I visit Australia next year maybe I can stop in Melbourne and we can have lunch or something!! XOXO Mike

I also put some choices on there, like Rosie O'Donnell (Sorry I spelled your name wrong) must have been the xanax I took for anxiety before I went to see my father...lol... and I put on there Ann Coulter, God Forbid that woman ever become President and I put on there Madonna who has done it all...I think she would be an excellent choice...she is wise and very very creative...

Anyways Louise thank you for inspiring me to conduct this poll!!

My Favourite Madonna Records Part 3

Well here we are again talking about Madonna... To many of you this is boring and to me tiring, but it's something I want to share...Each Madonna song is like a picture or a tattoo... They each represent a special part of my life and now we are in the decade of the 2000's... By the way what do you call this decade? The 00's, The 2000's, the y2k's or the Naughties? LOL whatever you call it it's the first decade of the 21st century and yes I am still a Madonna fan!!

Well for someone who never quits working like Madonna... This decade started out with a new movie and a new soundtrack!! "The Next Best Thing" Soundtrack was released in February 2000 with the Top 10 smash hit 'American Pie'.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Madonna got bad reviews for this movie, but my fucking God, I think she did an Amazing job playing Abbie Reynolds. Personally, this movie is up there with Evita, Who's That Girl and Desterately Seeking Susan... and God Rupert Evertt is a hot cake...anyways Madonna's performance blew me away... she did an amazing job playing a friend, mother, wife, and girlfriend... I swear some of these critics need panned...

Anyways, this point it my life I was just fired at a local service station...big fucking deal and took the job at a bookstore becoming manager not too long afterward...Actually these next 3 year would be the best of my life career wise...

By Summer 2000, Madonna's 11th, CD "Music" leaked out onto the net, and I won't lie, I copied the whole cd and listend to it, but I bought 5 copies because I may be a lot of things, but I am not a thief... And since Madonna is my idol...I wante my friends to have copies too... so don't get your panties in a wad Madonna just because someone does get your music early... a true fan always buys them... for reasons you probably wouldn't understand!!

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Personally, I think Music topped Ray of Light, but it still wasn't my favourite...I just think she should have released more singles... 3 tiny singles just weren't enough... The Title track "Music" and "Don't Tell Me" were awesome, but I think "Impressive Instant", "I Deserve It", "Gone", and "Nobodoy's Perfect" all had shots at becoming singles... maybe in the wake of 9/11 and her wrapping up the Drowned World Tour and the record comppany wanting her to release Amazing, a song which I didnt like too much killed the mood, but anyways the Record was completely great...

By 2001, I was in the middle of my job(Best job ever, best boss ever) And Madonna released her 2nd Greatest Hits Collection... I think Madonna made her first bad decision in many years...she should have included 2 new hits on it...like with TIC... it would have done 100% better sold more copies and even if she would have just released one song... but no, she just released the single versions, but anyways I bought 18 copies and gave them out as XMAS gifts...so that put a little money in her piggy bank..lol

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

GHV2, wasn't entirely bad...i mean it did have 15 of her best hits minus American Pie, I'll Remember, You'll See, and This Used to Be my Playground, but oh well.. but she could have but some newbies on there...like Liquid Love or Your Honesty... But all we got was GHV2 Megamix...maybe because she was filming Swept Away

Well, 2003 was a year, a bad year, just broke up w/ dick head and I was alone, and lost a good job, but American Life came out and I have to say this, American Life is one of my favuorie Reocrds...every song could have been a single... I think she had 7 in all including that song w/ Britney Me against the Music which forutnately wan't on there... "Die Another Day", "American Life", "Hollywood", "Nothing Fails", "Knowbody Knows Me", "Love Profusion", and "Mother and Father".. all these songs were superb, but Americans had to give her hell because they support a Monstor named George W Bushit...I mean Bush...LOL That mean gives me the willies... I have disliked him since 2001... but What do I know...

After "American Life" staggered out Madonna went back to her roots and released an all dance albume called "Confessions On A Dance Floor"

This record was released in November 2005 and spawned 4 hit singles, the worldwide Number 1 "Hung Up", the Number 1 "Sorry" and 2 other top 10 smashes in other countries "Get Together" and "Jump"... American Radio still has a problem with Madonna since she opposes President Bush.. Which most people do that have a brain... and She is still continuing to work... Her last 2 Projects were live CD's... 2006's "I'm Going to Tell you a Secret" and 2007's "The Confessions Tour Live"

So it's almost the end of the 2000's so what's next for Mrs. Ritchie? Well supposedly by the end of the year her new cd will be out... she is still debating what to call the CD...And I am sure it will kick ass...so get ready for at least 5-7 more singles that will rock the rest of the decade... Her current single is "Hey You" a song written by Madonna and Pharrell Williams and has already reached the top 30... All I can say is Madonna is the hardest working woman in the world... She has been at it since the late 1970s when she was in a drummer for a band called the Breakfast Club... So her 12th Studio Album will be a mix of dance, hip-hop, ballads, and upper tempo...so hold your patience and let's see if this will be her biggest CD of this decade...Right now my 5 favourite Madonna records are 1. Like A Prayer, 2. Erotica, 3. Ray of Light, 4. American Life, and 5. Confessions on A Dance Floor!! She has changed my life!!

My Favourite Madonna Records Part 2

I'm Back with more information!! LOL, well I graduated High School thank God in the early 1990s and I still loved my Queen...From
the period of "The Immaculate Collection" to the song 'This used to be my playground' was about 18 long months... but in this time, i finished school and attempted college unsuccessfully the first time!!

In the summer of 1992, i landed my first job working at a restaurant...whoopie doo!! But it was a job and I was fairly happy...I escaped school and met my best straight male friend there... Luckily I didn't have to wait long before Madonna released her 6th studio record titled 'Erotica'

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Every song on that Record blew me away and at the time it came out, I came out... not to the world, but to myself...I realized that I was gay and I was afraid, but that record saved my life especially the song "Deeper and Deeper"... to me I kinda took the meaning as a gay man falling in love with a straight man and Madonna saying it's ok...you fall deeper and deeper the further you go and if you have loving parents they support you know matter what!! The only thing I didn't like about the record 'Erotica' was "This used to Be my Playground" wasn't on that reocrod... It was a great number 1 song... But all the other 6 singles including 'Erotica' which made my cousin Sally crazy, "Deeper and Deeper", "Bad Girl" my favourite song from the record, "Fever", "Rain" and "Bye-Bye Baby" were awesome songs... At the time in early 1993 I went back to college to pursue my degree, but was extremely depressed... "Bad Girl" really made me happy again....Everytime I hear that song I go apeshit!! I know it did bad on the charts, but it's just an amazing song and I saw M perform it on SNL back Jan. 1993. Oops I forgot to tell you that I bought The Book "Sex" the Same October day I bought "Erotica" and my 2 friends Missy and David and I Watched "Body of Evidence" in Jan. 1993. Too bad they all three weren't released together or Madonna got to put some extra songs left off Erotica on that flim... She did an amazing job in Body Of Evidence!!

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

I would have to say Erotica is my 2nd all time favourite record behind Like A Prayer... Each song deals with a different theme and each song has a different beat!! And Madonna's style at the time was very beautiful!! Here are some more pics of that era!! And then I will move on:

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

By 1994, I was pretty pleased with my life and the way it was going. I was still not out, but I was still longing for a man and someone to love me... 'Bedtime Stories' was released in Oct. 1994 just 2 years after "'Sex'" and 'Erotica' were released...Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Like Erotica, Bedtime Stories, focused on a softer side of Madonna..Each song was different and Take a Bow and Bedtime Story were my favourites... nuff said on that record because it wasn't my favourite...

In the years that followed Madonna released another Compilation Titled Somthing to Remember which was very unique at the time...Her greatest ballads which contained This use to be my playground, Crazy For You, and I'll Remember previously not available on any Madonna reocord!!

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

This record had some great classics on it, so many people considered it a greatest hits compilation, but it was just a greatest ballads compilation... "You'll See" was probably the biggest hit off the record!!

I guess by 1997, Madonna was ready to settle down with a family...she announced she was pregnant with her first child while filming EVITA!! A great Musical Movie... Some great Songs "Don't Cry For Me Argentina" and "You Must Love Me' Burned up the charts in the mid to late 1990s... but they were ok... not my favourites...

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

By the late 1990s Madonna released her last record of that decade her 8th studio record "Ray of Light"

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

"Ray Of Light" is considered by many to be the "Like A Prayer" of the 1990s... Each song was a personal song that had great lyrics...every song on "Ray of Light" could have been a single... "Frozen", "Ray of Light", Drowned World/Substitute For Love", "The Power Of Good-Bye", and "Nothing Really Matters" were all wonderful singles... I would have to say at this point in my life 'Drowned World' and 'The Power of Good-Bye' and 'Skin' were my favourites..I graduated College with a BA in Fine Arts and I was finally going in the career path I intented to go! The 1990s was a wonderful decade... We were at Peace and had very few bad things happen with the exception of Columbine in 1999 and the Oklahoma City Bombing in 1995, and the WTC Bomb and Waco of 1993 and the shooting down of Flight TWA 800 in 1996! Madonna proved again that the songs she sang in the 1990s were full of life and brought smiles to the world!

One last thing about this chapter is "Beautiful Stranger" later released on GHV2 her 2nd Greatest Hits album of the 1990s... This song was from the Austin Powers Movie! It was a 1960s retro themed song that kind of reminded me of Serena from Bewitched!!

My Favourite Madonna CD's

Hi Bloggers, I guess I am bored as Hell tonight, but I wanted to share with you my favuorite Madonna Reocords... you should go out and buy them ASAP!! They will make you more happy than any drug will!! I love them all and Cherish them dearly... OK let's begin

1) This is from Madonna's Debut Album from 1982 titled 'Madonna' in America and "The First Album" in oher Parts of the World!! Included on this amazing record is the huge hit "Holiday", "Lucky Star", and "Everybody" which was her first single.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

2) "Like A Virgin" Was Madonna's 2nd record which conquered the world back in 1984!! I was only in 6th grade at the time and remember going home and asking my mum what a Virgin was..LOL... that didn't fly to well... Included on this great Record are the hits 'Like A Virgin', 'Into the Groove' in some countries, and 'Dress You Up'... God I can't spell tonight...must be the Xanax I took earlier cause I had to go to Walmart to help a friend shop...lol

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

3) By 1986 Madonna had conquered the World, and I mean she was my GOD!! I was in 8th grade and getting beat up every day wasn't bad enough I had to come home to get sexually abused by the priest!! God damn Religion hasn't it screwed the world up enough...lol nah Im teasing but I wasn't about the priest... True Blue saved my life!! Every song on that record could have been a hit... "Live To Tell" will always be my favourite song... Other biggies were "True Blue", Open Your Heart" and "La Isla Bonita"

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Madonna's first World Tour kicked off in 1987 "Who's That Girl" was a tour, a record, and a movie all wrapped in one and I for one think she is an incredible actress... All three singles 'Who's That Girl, 'Causing a Commotion' and 'The Look of Love' Were huge hits!!

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

At the end of 1987 I was in 9th grade and I bought my first Madonna CD at Xmas called "You Can Dance"...Too bad, the USA wouldn't release 'Spotlight' as a single...I remember being depressed in 1988 cause no new Madonna songs were released!
Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

But, by 1989 I was so fucking happy "Like A Prayer" came out in March and I was so goddamn thrilled I danced for the priest and showed him what I was made of!! This Record was the best record Madonna recorded during the entire decade of the 1980s... "Oh Father", "Like A Prayer" and "Keep It Together" were my favourite songs... the other songs were awesome 2!! I just remember the patchouli oil scent that came with each Record, CD, and Cassette!! Too bad the new releases do not have them... I hope they remaster this CD Soon... I had to buy 2 copies cause I wore my first one out!! LOL

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

You know what pisses me off?!? People saying her next record "I'm Breathless" Is not a studio record!! It is! It came out in May 1990 and Madonna boasted about it being a concept record... each song on the cd is sung by her or a duet with Warren Beatty or Mr. Mandy Patinkin... it does have three songs from the film Dick Tracy, but it is M's 6th Studio Record!! so all you people that disagree with me do what Divine says in the movie Female Trouble and "Go Fuck Yourself"!! And Madonna if you disagree too do the same...LOL!! Anyways I love this record and the hits "Vogue" Made my 11th grade year!!

I think every kid was doing the vogue back in 1990... what a freakin year

12th Grade was getting good...I had the days and months counted down when Madonna released this:
Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
This was her greatest hits of the 1980s and I loved them so much i played them from Nov 13, 1990- May or June 1991...I remember when 'Justify my Love' came out people got their panties in a wad and wouldn't shut the fuck up! My God it was just a song and the video was sexy...what I would not give to fuck tony ward...he was hot and had a body to die for..oh well a boy can dream!! Any ways later on in March "Rescue Me" was released and that song did fairly well here in the USA.. well that ends the first Madonna period!! 1981-1991!! Next blog will cover stage 2 of her career and my crazy life!!

thanx to photobucket.com for all the photos of madonna's records and for more info go to www.madonna.com or amazon.com to buy her music... just buy her records... they will save your life!!

My Choice Video for this Week: American Life by Madonna

This is a great video and gives true meaning into this idiotic war that Bush got this whole world into!! Maybe he should be tried for war crimes?
